Hey Marlin Family,

It was a busy week! 

Thank you to everyone who came out to support The Marlins at our first Spirit Night. It was so fun to see everyone outside of the Natatorium, LOL! 

The meet was great, and we had so many happy swimmers! Since it was our first dual meet, I wanted to let you know what usually happens after. Swimmers who placed in their events will get ribbons for their achievement. At practice, you will see two file folder boxes, one for boys and one for girls, on the side table in the lobby. Each swimmer has a folder with their name on it. Check these weekly to collect their ribbons!

After each meet, the coaches will choose a Swimmer of the Week for each age group. These kiddos will get a special prize from the coaches. We will also be looking at who has qualified for our invitational meets at the end of the season. Special caps will be distributed at the beginning of the following meet (I will let you know when that starts).

Entry for the next meet usually opens right after we finish a meet, so please be sure you are entering your swimmer in the events of their choice. If you know you are not able to attend a meet, please go into the entry and mark your swimmer as NOT ATTENDING. 

Lastly, we are still lacking volunteers. Thank you to all who have signed up and done more than their share. We cannot make this season happen without volunteers at the meets. Each family is expected to fulfill 6 shifts this season and EVERY family is expected to help at our invitational meet, Trinity. Please sign up. I would hate for us to forfeit meets due to a lack of volunteers or have to impose a rule that says if you don't volunteer, your child cannot swim.  If you need to add another adult/family member to your account to allow them to sign up, please reach out to me.
